When Hurricane Helene devastated Western North Carolina, Precision Grading & Disaster Relief Inc stepped in. With faith, donated time, equipment, heart, and support from our community, we are helping families recover what was lost.
Grading for Good
Since Hurricane Helene struck Western North Carolina, Precision Grading & Disaster Relief has:
Helped over 200 families recover access to their homes and properties.
Donated more than $1 million in labor, materials, and equipment.
Operated with an average daily cost of $4,000, not including materials.
Continued working with 100+ families still waiting for help.
We're rebuilding roads, bridges, and lives, and with your help, we can keep going. Every home cleared, every bridge rebuilt, and every driveway restored has been made possible through community support and volunteer work. This mission did not start with a campaign; it started with a promise from Jake to help his neighbors with his God-given talents and a bulldozer. Our entire team has a passion for helping the community, restoring hope, and demonstrating the love of Jesus.
“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.” 1 Peter 4:10

How We Help Our Neighbors
-
We rebuild roads, bridges, and access to homes across Western North Carolina — for free — using heavy equipment, volunteer labor, and deep local commitment.
-
Led by veteran Jake Jarvis, our team personally assesses every site and donates time, tools, and expertise daily. Donations fund the fuel, materials, and repairs that keep us moving.
-
We prioritize primary homeowners who can't afford recovery services and are underserved by insurance or FEMA. Over 100 families are still waiting.
“I have to say that the most impressive thing about Jake Jarvis, and his volunteers Matt and Stefan is THE WAY THEY GIVE! During the entire time they were building my bridge they were smiling, cheerful, greeting me with hugs and saying with hugs at the end of the day, never once asking for anything.”

In Their Words
“Thanks to Jake we can now drive our car to purchase supplies and even go and visit our grandchildren more often. We can sleep in peace during stormy nights knowing that the front of the house is safe and our septic fixed.”
